Detailed step-by-step for getting started
These are alternative "getting started" instructions to the original Reseller: Getting Started Guide. In this article we walk through Hook Security's detailed recommendations in set up, but as always, encourage you to consult with your Account Manager if you need a unique approach or have questions during set up.
Configure Branding
- After logging in to the Hook Security, Inc portal, navigate to Reseller > Settings & Tools > Branding Settings.
- Customize Portal Logos

- Optional: generate a custom testingcenter.net subdomain
- Sub-accounts will use the custom URLs you generate to log in.

- Add customer support contact information
- Support contact and company information fields can be used in system emails. Fields saved here will replace their respective tags. To preview and (optionally) edit system emails, navigate to Administration > Manage System Emails in the portal menu. Any changes made will propagate to sub-accounts, but they will still have the ability to customize the emails. Check out How to Manage System Emails!
- Add customer support contact information
If no branding is configured in sub-accounts, they will inherit the branding settings from the reseller account.
Create Feature Packages

- Optional: Create different Feature Packages. Our recommendation is to include all Hook Security courses in a single Feature Package to deploy to your customers to give best experience.
Customer Management
- Customers are managed through Sub Accounts and will have access to the platform.

- Customers can use the Integration Store in their administrative portal to upload via an active directory sync with the portal. See the most common integrations below:

- They can also upload a group via .csv file, although the best customer experience will be through an active sync.
